One of the two founder members of the company, William has spent most of his working life involved in the local property market.  He is blessed with a great sense of humour and unhealthy addiction to caffeine, William is a highly motivated individual frequently working up to twelve hours a day when market conditions demand.  William has terrier instincts when it comes to solving problems and has an amazing ability to make things happen when nobody else can!

The other founder member of Dale Eddison, Bill Dale is a native of Ilkley and has spent all his working life in the local Estate Agency market.  Frequently at his desk by 7.30 am, his role, in addition to general Agency, includes Land and New Homes and development opportunities, dealing with Architects and Developers in order to resolve planning issues prior to marketing development sites.  Considered by his colleagues to be good in crisis, many clients have appreciated his calming influence when rescuing a difficult transaction.

Jonathan is the Guiseley Office resident partner, having worked as an Estate Agent and Chartered Surveyor for about thirty years.  Born locally, Jonathan took over a successful and long established practice in Guiseley in 1992 before merging with Bill Dale and William Eddison to form the existing partnership in 1994.  Jonathan lives in Menston with his wife and family and is ably supported at Guiseley Office by a dedicated and hardworking team including Senior Sales Negotiator, Margaret Malton, Sue Moore, Lorna Field, Mandy Boulding and Shirley Hainsworth.  


Gary has worked in Estate Agency since 1988. Following ten years with a National chain of Estate Agents he joined Otley Office in 1998.  He became an Associate Partner in the firm in 2005.  Since joining Dale Eddison, he has established his office as Otley’s market leader.  A family man, Gary has lived in Burley in Wharfedale since school days and consequently knows Wharfedale like the back of his hand.  As the valuer for Otley Office, he draws on an exceptional knowledge of the local housing market. A well known figure in Wharfedale, Gary is renowned for his warm, friendly and approachable style.

Gary is supported by a hardworking dedicated team including Building Surveyor, Chris Wood who ultimately joined Dale Eddison following a brief period of work experience in 1999, Liz East our Senior Sales Negotiator based at Otley and Louise Minogue.

Phil is a true no nonsense Yorkshireman living in Horsforth with his wife and two children. A keen family man (when he’s not working) he can usually be found on the side lines of the local football ground cheering his son on!

Phil started his working life in the General Insurance industry in 1984 and moved into the world of Financial Services in 1996. His knowledge and experience in these areas made him the ideal candidate to launch Dale Eddison Financial Services. Phils’ easy manner and personal approach has seen his client base go from strength to strength with much of his work being repeat business from happy clients. With the addition of John Timms in 2003 and Nigel Chester in 2006 we now have a mortgage adviser dedicated to each office ensuring each client has a bespoke package tailored to their own individual requirements. 


Living in Ilkley with a young family, Dawn joined Dale Eddison in 2001 following 12 years with a National Chain of Agents. Having managed her own office she is a capable and versatile member of the team being a knowlegeble valuer, red hot sales negotiator and a great mediator when it comes to the more challenging sales! If you need advice on 'House Doctoring' Dawn is available to discuss ways to improve and enhance your property and is happy to visit your home prior to marketing. 

Gillian joined Dale Eddison in late 2005 to take over the running and expansion of our Lettings and Management Department.  A member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents, Gillian has brought great enthusiasm and expertise to this quickly expanding department, based for administrative purposes, at our Ilkley Office but also covering Wharfedale and North Leeds. 

Ilkley office would not run smoothly without the backup of our sales and management team who include, Frances Davies, Cath Shaw, Claire Poad, Sandra Duff, Margaret Simpson, Denise Marshall-Beck, Alison Lilly, Pam Brown and Liz Haigh.  A recent addition to our team is Sally Hutchinson, better known as a local Solicitor who is  probably the most highly qualified progresser in the business.

Chris was born and bred in Burley in Wharfedale, and has been working for Dale Eddison since 2002. He completed his degree course in Building Surveying at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2006, and is a qualified Building Surveyor, and an Incorporate member of the Chartered Institute of Building.  As well as residential experience, Chris has also carved out a niche within the commercial property market, being able to offer his services in both the sales and lettings of all commercial properties. Chris’s diligence and enthusiasm in his work and life are fine qualities.  Chris also has a great sense of humour, which is a prerequisite in our industry.
