Rylstone is an attractive rural hamlet mid-way between Skipton and Grassington, famous for its duck pond from where the ducks are often seen waddling through the village. Rylstone nestles between Hetton and Cracoe, so that The Angel and Devonshire Arms (both well-known public houses and eateries) are both within a mile. Both Skipton and Grassington are circa 4 miles away, both offering an excellent range of shops, social/sporting amenities and schools, as the village is within the catchment area for both Upper Wharfedale school at Threshfield, and the Girls&146; High and Ermysteds at Skipton.

Scale House Woodlands is set just under a mile out of the village and comprises a select small cluster of former cottages and buildings on the Scale House Estate which were re-developed in 2002. Fox Cottage enjoys a west-facing setting, looking out over its gardens to the woodland beyond, with a high degree of seclusion. The accommodation is a quirky internal layout, with different levels linked by short staircases, and is fully double glazed with central heating from an LPG-fired radiator system.
