The small community of Beckermonds is situated in the picturesque Upper Wharfe Valley and is where the River Wharfe is formed, by the confluence of Oughtershaw Beck and Greenfield Beck - Beckermonds derives its name from the original Nordic name of Begermons meaning "the meeting of the two streams". It is a wonderful and unspoilt setting, displaying some of the most spectacular scenery you will see within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Whilst it is a small community in its own right, the nearest pub is 4 miles away (The George at Hubberholme) and the hamlet is on the famous Dalesway route with various outdoor pursuits and places of interest situated close by. Located just 8.5 miles away is the popular Dales village of Kettlewell which offers a delightful range of tea rooms, pubs, village shop and Kettlewell Primary School. At Grassington (15.5 miles) there is a range of quality shops as well as a supermarket, many restaurants, sporting facilities and secondary schooling. Beckermonds is also in the catchment area for the well-regarded Skipton grammar schools.

From Beckermonds, there is a 3 mile gated tarmac lane which meanders through wonderful scenery up to High Greenfield. The only other vehicles permitted beyond High Greenfield are for forestry purposes, although the owner of High Greenfield has permission to use the forest road to access Horton-in-Ribblesdale (4.5 miles away). Tesco do deliver there (at their standard delivery rate), there is good internet access (the internet in the area is fully available with speeds up to around 20mb depending on the provider and package; you are easily able to stream videos and reliably work from home) and the school bus collects children in Beckermonds.

Even with its character and desirable location in the National Park, neither property is Listed which enables the purchasers to put their own stamp on the buildings and dwellings, and it is worth noting that High Greenfield has had a new roof in 2017, Keepers Cottage and Tuesday Barn roofs were replaced in 2000, the Detached Barn roof was replaced in 2008, High Greenfield has had new double glazed windows in 2017, the cottage double glazed windows were newly fitted in 2008 and both properties have been re-wired in 2017. All 3 chimneys were also re-built in 2017. High Greenfield has new kitchen fittings and an oil-fired central heating system, and Keepers Cottage has radiators from a large stove with a back boiler (currently not operational). The rooms have awesome views all around and plenty of character with exposed beams, stonework and latched internal doors, and the accommodation is described in brief below with approximate room sizes:-
